R. Douglas Warren Biography

R. Douglas Warren is Vice President/Real Estate Appraisal for Gregory D. Bynum & Associates, Inc. Mr. Warren joined the firm in May of 1982 after having been a staff appraiser with the Karpe-Fisher Company-Real Estate Appraisers and Consultants of Bakersfield the prior seven years.

Mr. Warren graduated from the University of California-Davis Campus in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate Appraisal and Rural Development — a program he developed for the Davis Campus. Curriculum included intensive studies of real estate, real estate finance, real estate appraisal, agricultural economics, urban and regional planning, water and soil science, and general economics.

Professional affiliations held by Mr. Warren include being a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of California, a Professional Member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and a designated Member of the Appraisal Institute. He has served as President of the local Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and is currently a Regional Member of the Ethics and Counseling Panel. He has also been a State Delegate of the California Appraisal Counsel.

He has taught and lectured at California State University Bakersfield and at Bakersfield College. He has been recognized and qualified as an expert witness in the Superior Court system and has testified for both public and private clients.

Mr. Warren's primary geographical area is all of Kern County, however, he has completed assignments in Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Kings and Tulare Counties. He has the knowledge and expertise to appraise or perform analysis on virtually all property types ranging from single and multi-family residential dwellings to complex agricultural, commercial and industrial properties. Feasibility studies, highest and best use studies and consultations are also areas in which he has completed assignments.

Gregory D. Bynum ARA, SRA

Mr. Bynum has been a real estate appraiser for 32 years. He is professionally designated by the Appraisal Institute as an SRA and by the American Society of Farm Managers as an ARA. His experience includes appraisal of all property types and qualification as an expert witness in the Superior Court and U.S. Federal Bankruptcy Court. He is licensed within the State of California as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. Mr. Bynum who is a graduate with a degree in Business Administration from California State University of Bakersfield has been an active participant in his profession and has held many local statewide and national positions in the appraisal organizations of which he is a member. He has also lectured at various seminars and taught appraisal at the collegiate level. He holds a teaching credential for Real Estate Subjects from the State of California.
